Do you consider yourself to be a creative person? Many people do not. I
often hear the word “creative” used to describe eccentric people or very
talented folks: people who are not typical or normal. But, I believe we are
made to be creative.
So God
created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and
female created he them.

1:27
We were created in God’s own image. And God is THE Creator. If
we are in His image, should we not be creative by nature?
The dictionary defines creative as:
- Having the ability to create.
- Characterized by originality of thought; having or showing imagination: a creative mind.
- Designed or tending to stimulate the imagination: creative toys.
I’ve always considered myself a creative person. When I was young, I
wrote fictional stories and poems. I enjoyed coloring and drawing (still do!),
and making treats in my Easy Bake Oven. As an adult, I still enjoy writing –
though I now prefer the nonfiction genre, creating forts with my kids, coloring
and drawing, and experimenting with recipes.
Every person has creative potential, and nearly every job and career has
some form of creative outlet or possibility within it.
