What Makes Us Different? #BeingAChristian #FaithHealing

I am called stupid and blind; ignorant and closed-minded for believing that the Bible is true and Jesus is real. And yet I believe. I have faith that God is real.

When someone is sick or hurting, I pray. I don't know what happens to my prayers. I don't know if they're heard anymore. What has happened to faith healing? Does it happen anymore? I have no doubt that it occurred in the past. What makes us, as believers and followers of Jesus, different?

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have I give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.

And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

Acts 3:6-8

Dear Readers: have you experienced miraculous faith healing in your life or your family?

  1. I have seen healings and many miracles in my life. I have seen the sick healed and doctors baffled. God is unchanging. If he spoke to his people in the days gone by, why would he stop now? Only the unbelievers are without his word. If he healed the sick in days gone by, why would he stop now? He is and will always be a god of miracles. No, we don't get everything we ask for - but as a loving father he gives us what we truly need for our spiritual growth.

  2. I actually had someone call out a word of knowledge and I was healed. Yes, it still happens. I have seen it. I was in a conference years ago and Pat Robertson was praying. He had prayed all around the room calling out different thigs people were being healed from.. and I prayed to myself, "Lord please let him say Caeserean Scar... i had had trouble with my scar for several years. it felt like the scar was twisting the skin and it constantly hurt. Pat continued to pray all around the room and as he was finishing his prayer he turned and pointed in my direction and said " Someone down here is having a problem with their caeserean scar and the Lord is healing you right now." Well, needless to say I have never had any problems with it, ever again. Thank you, Lord.I know they still happen ...we just have to trust Him.

    2. You're joking right? Pat Robertson? Let me guess Benny Hinn heals people to?

    3. It's ok if Anonymous Oct 6 doubts what people say about healing. "People don't heal, Jesus does". Anonymous won't be on the day of judgement. Anonymous' will be known.

  3. I believe also that every word in the Bible is true.
On faith healing I feel it isn't as prevalent due to the diminishing number of true believers.
The Bible is not multiple choice or for the convenience of picking what fits our situation at any given time. We have to be "TRUE BELIEVERS"
Faith healing has been cheapened by phony grand standers such as Benny Hinn. Not all are healed by faith With the exception of those at his meetings. It would be perhaps more believable if someone weren't healed once in a while.
We have our faith. I feel sorry for those who don't. I'd be lost
    without mine. Thank you JESUS

  4. Honestly, I have not experienced faith healing as such. But I also have no way of knowing what *could have been* had I not prayed in the health arena of life. And, I can look back and wonder about times when I have been spared from getting hurt if it was not some type of miraculous intervention of some sort.

In other words, in my mind, praying always matters. We'll find out all of the results in heaven.
