O: Only One

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6

Okay, I’m just going to come out and say it: there is only one way to get to Heaven and that’s Jesus. I’m usually a bit more politically correct when addressing general public, but I’ve just about had it with all the criticism of our savior. There are numerous ex-Christians who say they cannot accept an absolute and exclusive belief system. Many are looking for an all-inclusive spirituality of love and acceptance. Hello, people, Jesus came up with the outrageous ideas about love, not the humanists (copy cats). Jesus is love.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:30-31

  1. Absolutely, there is only one path to Heaven.
Thru the blood of Christ. Check John 3:16.
The post modernistic attitude is a philosophy taken out of context. If it's ok for me then it's ok.
You are so right Mark 12:30-31 is the crux of the matter.
But bear in mind we have to forgive to be forgiven,

  2. Good point, Suzi. It’s funny how certain the modern unbeliever really is when they announce there cannot be one way. But they swear there’s no absolute way at the same time they expect us to accept this one absolute truth. At the end of the debate, it becomes clear that they simply don’t want to be mocked by their peers for seeming narrow-minded about truth.

Those claiming to look for ‘love and acceptance’ everywhere (except in Christ) will be forever disappointed. Who defines love, it’s operation, and how to get/dispense it? In the world, what love is or means is assumed. And it usually boils down to a tit-for-tat proposition in which the contract is broken as soon as the other falls short. Love as a general ideal always sounds good until you are expected to give it to the unworthy. So all of the spiritual notions of love never provide a real basis for enduring love even if they pay lip service to it.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Real love (that reflects its Author) is costly and rare, and it always involves a measure of sacrifice. This isn’t what folks in the world mean when they borrow the term from God.

  3. This blog sure has become boring! When are you going to adress the challenge that was posted about the statistics for the foc vs outside of the foc for things like drug and alcohol abuse, homosexuality, premartial sex, s.t.d's, divorce (unless that hit too close to home), idolatry, fornication, and crime in general. Or are you only willing to try to totally demonize the foc???

    1. Hey anonymo: congrats on bullying your cult members into submission. What a great place that is! Why do you need Suzi to plug all the supposedly wonderful things about your cult? It's not like you're recruiting!

It's sad that someone who hasn't heard a preacher in their church in decades will call the mention of scripture boring.

Even though you are a bully and a coward, I'll still pray for you to find the truth.

  4. A house divided against itself cannot stand! There is no place that I know of more divided than foc, it's only a matter of time and it will collapse, we just have to wait, because anything without Christ will! God will not make a way he already did and that was 2,000 years ago, he will not make another one! These are end times that we are living in; and the message is simple.. Repent or perish, those are the only two options.

  5. Anonymous: Followers of Christ, What could be further from the truth.
The Bible is a complete work in it's self. Not to be fragmented so you can pick and choose pieces to fit any situation.

Why are what you call ououtstders not allowed? I believe we are taught to reach out not isolate and push others away.

AS Jesus told his disciples we are to be "Fishers of Men"......
Hard to do, given your attitudes to anyone not born into the church.

My prayers are with all of you.Read the Bible in context, then compare it to your idology. May prove interesting

  6. Why don't you people let Suzanne answer for herself? Any time someone makes a valid point they get attacked. "Bullied into submission"? Really? Or maybe they truly are people who try to do the right things. And if it takes bullying people to get them not to sin, than I would say it's worth it. Lots of anonymous posters have been called cowards, but I think suzanne is the coward. She's not willing to discuss both sides of the foc (the good and the bad). All she is willing to do is slander them and let her dogs attack people who make valid points.

May I ask you a question…? What are you going to do about your sin?

  7. Garth, may I ask you a question...? Who do you think you are? Why would you ask such a stupid question? You are a puffed up condescending ass and I want nothing to do with you. What does that question have to do with Suzanne answering the questions posted? How about you answer for her then since you think you know everything. I'm sure you've been to enough other churches that you can at least give a fair comparison between the foc and where you've been.

  8. Anonymous,
It’s not a stupid question. The wages of sin is death, how will you escape the wages of your sin?

    1. Not a stupid question at all Garth; Jesus said that the sick are the ones who need a doctor not the healthy, so if you don't think you are that bad of a sinner or that surely God will overlook my little old sin I mean I'm not as bad as so and so down the street, but the reality is that our righteousness is like filthy rags and we are in dier need of Jesus' blood to cleanse us, do we wonder any longer why little children are molested and abused out there? Why sin wins over time and time again? Why drug abuse and and alcoholism exists out there? It's because of flesh and there is nothing more contrary to the Spirit of God, until those people realize this it will only get worse and worse.

  9. Hmmm, alcohol abuse, homosexuality, premartial sex, s.t.d's, divorce, idolatry, fornication, and crime in general.

Actually all have occurred and came to light in the last few years or month(s). Though I will admit, the husband just thought he had given his wife a std because he had been with a prostitute, she is fine.

  10. Why do you still attend the foc if you have so much against them?

    1. How do you know I attend?

I don't have "so much against" most of "them" just people like you who will twist the truth to hide what is really going on. There are kind people out there.

I notice you used a personal attack, not denied that all had occurred....fyi that is not a great strategy for debate. Look here for some suggestions on how to improve your skills.
